Help us place our young men into trades that support Savannah.
Once the young men develop in their career, they will be invited to participate as a mentor in Xcel.

One major focus for Xcel is to find jobs for the young men in our mentoring program. We believe that jobs build self confidence that will allow him to build his dreams upon. Once a young man completes the six weeks of Xcel training, he earns partnership into the Xcel Network. This partnership gives opportunities for job interviews and ultimately entry level jobs. These jobs are minimum wage positions but our young men are encouraged to take advantage of education opportunities within the network to qualify for support level jobs. The following is our Trade-Smithing Strategy to produce support level jobs.

Xcel is partnering with Industry leaders in the Savannah area to provide support level jobs for the young men in our program.


Our partnerships within the Xcel Network run deep. Xcel schedules a site visit for our young men to meet the CEO and see the place of operation. The site visit will produce an interview for each young man aspiring for an internship. The internship will last for two months in the summer and if he proves himself, a full-time apprenticeship awaits him in the fall.
